This week's question
How many posts do you schedule for your blog on a weekly basis?
(submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver's Reviews)
My answer
I usually try to schedule and post 5-6 posts a week. I don't always get that many posted a week, it just depends on what is going on. I post most of the time my usual weekly memes unless I am still on the same book then it's not as many. I also post a book review if possible and/or a book tour or book blitz. I am trying to grow my blog and my following on my blog and social media so I am hoping to keep my blog active.
That's a great goal! It can be hard to keep up with alot of posts but I found that pre-scheduling them was a lifesaver for me! When I first started my blog many years ago (the posts have long since been deleted when I mistakenly decided to "start fresh" lol) I was writing and posting everything the day of! I think that's probably why I abandoned my blog, it was just so hard to keep up with! The scheduling feature on blogspot is great in my opinion!
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best of luck with growing your blog!

I also had a blog for many years that I deleted and then started fresh with this one. Yes the scheduling feature on here is great. I would have a hard time getting posts on here if it wasn't available. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI almost always have between 45 and 60 posts scheduled at any given time. The only posts I don't schedule ahead of time are the Sunday and Friday posts. Those are done at the end if the week since they contain stuff from that week. I takes notes when I read for reviews and write the review right after I'm done reading.
ReplyDeleteWOW, that is a lot of posts to have scheduled! I update the Sunday Post throughout the week as things go on. That is a good idea to take notes for reviews. :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI write most posts only a day or two in advance and actually don't pre-schedule most of them as I forget to link them up if they are blog memes. I do write up book review posts straight away, but then randomly post them in between blog memes.
ReplyDeleteHopefully you can grow your blog and gain followers - all the best with that.
I have a planner so I have everything wrote down or else I would forget. I try to write a review a couple of days after I read the book and then post it later in the week or the following week. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI think we all have to find what works best for each of us. I don't post every day and that works for me. I hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteYou are right, we do what works best for each of us. We all have different things going on so if you don't post every day no big deal. :) Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteI never manage to post every day but (pre-pandemic) I was comfortable at 3/4 posts a week. I hope to get back to that number, on a regular basis, this year.
ReplyDeleteI don't think you need to post everyday, just whatever works for you. I hope you get to a number that you feel comfortable with though. Thanks for stopping by!
