This week's question

Are you more likely to choose to read a book based on the synopsis, or the cover?

My answer

I always see the cover first and that is what draws me in.  But then I do read the synopsis and that will let me decide if I want to read it or not.  The cover has an influence but is not the final decision.

  1. Author is as important for me but a really good cover will increase the chance of me reading the blurb but it won't make a difference to if I read the book or not. Mind you I mainly read e-books so I rarely look at covers now!

    1. I love a good cover too! I still look at the covers online for e-books too!

  2. Love seeing your perspective on this question. Covers are a big draw for me though, sometimes I just jump into the book without reading the synopsis. Although not always, the blurb sometimes is what convinces me over a cover especially if the cover isn't that well done.

  3. Totally makes sense - I often get a blurb in an email for review without ever seeing the cover, and I'm good with that, but you're right a cover is important when blind searching

    1. I agree, but sometimes I like to look at the cover just because. :)
