Sunny McDonald is in the ultimate forbidden relationship. Her boyfriend Magnus is a vampire, and the leader of the Blood Coven. And when the Coven decides that Magnus needs a mate to be his co-ruler, Sunny's humanity puts her out of the running. The Coven's chosen candidate is Jane Johnson, a magna cum laude graduate of Oxford University who just happens to look like a vampiric supermodel.

Sunny is suspicious of a Rhodes Scholar who can't answer the most basic poli-sci questions, but Magnus brushes it off as petty jealousy. Still, when the Blood Coven goes to Las Vegas for a vampire convention, Sunny and her twin sister Rayne secretly tag along. And Sunny's not going home before she learns the truth about Jane. Because not everything stays in Vegas-especially bad blood.

My Review

Bad Blood may be my favorite so far of this series.  I loved it and didn't want it to end!

Sunny is getting frustrated with her boyfriend Magnus.  He is always busy with being the leader of the Blood Coven and doesn't seem to have much time to spend with Sunny.  Oh and then there is the whole blood mate thing.  Magnus has a woman, Jane who is set to become his new blood mate and will help him run the coven.  But there is something about her that doesn't set right with Sunny.  Magnus and Jane leave head to Las Vegas for the vampire convention and biting ceremony.  Sunny and Rayne fly to Las Vegas to figure out what is really going on.  There dad lives there with his other family so they use seeing their dad as an excuse to go to Las Vegas.  Once they arrive though, things are not all that they seem.

They are stuck spending the week with their dad's family while he is out of town on a business trip.  Sunny and Rayne get more surprises than they were expecting.  Rayne spends most of her time in the casinos gambling while Sunny sets out to figure out who Jane really is and to stop her from becoming Magnus's blood mate.

There is so many things that happen throughout the story that you will be on the edge of your seat.  I also enjoyed the new characters that Sunny met in this book.  I really hope that we get to know more about Jayden and get to see him more in future books.  The cliffhanger ending was shocking to Sunny and Rayne and also me as I read it.  I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
