Rayne McDonald thought getting into the Blood Coven was the hard part. But now there's a new breed of trouble in town...and the former slayer and her vampire boyfriend may be the only ones who can stop it.

Now that she's an official vampire and full-fledged member of The Blood Coven, Rayne assumes her vampire slaying days are over. Sure, she doesn't have any vampire powers, thanks to a mutated blood virus, but she and Jareth can go out in the sun, which is a pretty good trade-off.

But just when Rayne's starting to enjoy her afterlife, she's contacted by Slayer Inc once again. It seems that a member of her high school's football team has disappeared—and the powers-that-be think the cheerleaders had something to do with it. Now Rayne has to infiltrate the squad before the cheerleaders have a chance to sink their teeth into someone else...

My Review

Girls That Growl is such a great title for this book.  I couldn't put it down, it's so good as is the previous two books.

Rayne is the main character in this book too. I really like both twins, Rayne and Sunny. They may be identical but they have such different personalities. Most people see Rayne as the goth girl who no one really likes to be around. I find her a bit complicated but also funny. Rayne thought she was done as the vampire slayer but then she finds out that Slayer Inc. has another assignment for her. She must become a cheerleader and find out what is going on with the cheerleaders and where two of the missing football players are and what has happened to them. Rayne is definitely not the cheerleading type at all. So she must somehow convince her former best friend and cheerleader Mandy to let her on the squad.

The cheerleaders are not Rayne's only problem to deal with either. Her vampire boyfriend is becoming more of a surfer dude than the broody, goth blood mate that she fell in love with. Then there is her guardian and her mother's boyfriend David. Rayne has a lot to deal with and she is still figuring out how to be a vampire.

I am really enjoying this series and am excited to start the next book. If you enjoy reading urban fantasy and vampires you should start this series if you haven't already. This book has vampires, a slayer, shapeshifters, romance, lots of twists and turns and so much more!
