What are your thoughts on "happily ever after" endings?

My answer

I love when a book ends with a "happily ever after".  I don't like when books end with an ending that doesn't seem finished or ends on a happy note.

    I don't like endings that don't seem finished either. At least the main conflicts of the story have to be resolved.
