Violet thought she’d made peace with her unique ability to sense the echoes of the dead and the imprints that cling to their killers…that is until she acquired an imprint of her own. Forced to carry a reminder of the horrible events of her kidnapping, Violet is more determined than ever to lead a normal life. However, the people who run the special investigative team Violet works for have no intention of letting her go.
When someone close to Violet becomes a suspect in a horrific murder, she finds herself pulled into a deadly hunt for a madman with an army of devoted followers. Violet has survived dangerous situations before, but she quickly discovers that protecting those closest to her is far more difficult than protecting herself.
My Review
Dead Silence is the last book in this series. I have enjoyed reading each book but I have to say that this one was the best. It was so good, filled with suspense and romance and a great plot.
Violet is learning to live with her imprint although it is not easy. She is determined to live a normal life but really how normal can it be when she is always being drawn to the dead. This time is no exception. She once again finds dead bodies after their echoes are calling out to be found. If that is not bad enough someone she knows is the main suspect. Violet is determined to find out the truth and find the real killer. It might end up costing her more than she knows.
I continued to love reading about Violet, Jay, Rafe and their friends. I enjoyed getting to read her grandmother's journals along with Violet. I also enjoy Rafe and his mysterious self. There are many more secrets that were revealed in this installment.
I would recommend this series if you enjoy urban fantasy with a bit of murder mystery mixed in. I loved this entire series and wish that there would be more books in the future. I would love to read more!
